At KPRO, we take a systematic approach to sustainability — not as a project, but as a natural part of our daily operations. As a manufacturer of cables and electromechanical products, we take responsibility for the impact of our entire business. From the materials we choose and the energy we consume, to how we transport goods, manage waste, and care for our employees.

How We Work with Sustainability
Energy & Real Estate
Our electricity consumption is fossil-free and comes from hydropower. In our properties, we are investing in LED lighting and implementing measures to reduce heat loss and energy waste.
Transportation
Just over 80% of our outbound deliveries are made using electric vehicles through selected partners. For inbound shipments, we include environmental requirements in our contracts with freight forwarders, and we consistently avoid air freight. HVO is used as an alternative for those shipments that are not yet electrified.
Materials & Waste
We continuously work to select materials based on their climate impact, and component selection is based on CO2 footprint.
Incoming packaging is reused for outgoing goods. We are increasing the proportion of compressed waste, and by removing the sheath from raw cables, we separate the copper from the sheath, thereby increasing recycling rates.
IT & Equipment
We choose refurbished IT equipment over new equipment to reduce our climate impact associated with hardware production.
Social Responsibility
KPRO is a workplace characterized by great diversity—43% of our employees are women, and we have a high degree of cultural and skills-based diversity. We invest in automation tools and job rotation to improve ergonomics, broaden skills, and, above all, create the conditions to completely avoid repetitive strain injuries resulting from repetitive work.
